We’ve been blessed with our first Miracle Wellness Center home at the Inn at the Colonnade, Doubletree Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland! The hotel has given us a very special lease of a beautiful spa space so that we can serve the community with wellness services, cancer prevention education classes and more. This is a place unlike any other, providing FREE services to people affected by cancer. We need your help to raise the funds needed to cover monthly operating costs. Donate any amount to help MOM provide complimentary wellness treatments (massage, reflexology or acupuncture) and other resources to cancer patients/survivors at the Miracle Wellness Center at the Inn at the Colonnade in Baltimore.

For every $100 in donations we receive, we are able to provide a complimentary 1-hour wellness treatment to a cancer patient/survivor. Wellness treatments aid in healing and offer hope to those dealing with cancer.

Marathon of Miracles volunteers (Some shown are Megan, Wendy, Joe and Teresa shown from left to right with Jane and A.J.) distributed thousands of free inspirational music CD’s donated by musical artist and cancer survivor Chuck Navasky to shoppers at Macy’s in Columbia, MD this Christmas season. Chuck, a strong supporter and friend of Marathon of Miracles, delivered the CD’s personally along with Turk Schnars who is also a great friend of the organization and the cause. “Look for many collaborations between us as we use Music To End Cancer,” said A.J. Ali, MOM Co-Founder and Chief Vision Officer. “Chuck and Turk are two of the most giving guys I’ve ever met. Both of them are fighters, having overcome serious setbacks to bring hope to others. They are two shining examples of what being a Miracle Worker is all about.”

Dozens of volunteers gave of their time and energy during the holiday season to help MOM raise more than $3,500 to go towards the opening of the Miracle Wellness Center, MOM’s first wellness center. It was a big success and we are very thankful to Macy’s of Columbia, MD for their ongoing support of our nonprofit. It was at the 2010 Christmas gift wrap that A.J. met Franklin James. Franklin wound up introducing A.J. to the owner and GM of the Inn at the Colonnade hotel, which led to the hotel’s offer to help MOM to open a wellness center to serve the community in a unique way. “Who knew that wrapping a few gifts for a Macy’s customer would lead to such an incredible thing happening for the Greater Baltimore-Washington area?” said A.J. “It pays to be nice to people and to give your best in service to others. God has a way of connecting the dots to make things happen that you’d never dream of. I’m excited to see what else will come from the gift wrap event this recent Christmas season.”

Come join us for a fun Zumba night benefiting Marathon of Miracles at the Columbia Gym in Clarksville, MD October 16th. MOM is a wellness and cancer prevention 501c3 non profit organization, serving people in the Baltimore Washington area and nationwide. Funds raised from this event will help MOM to provide holistic wellness care to cancer patients/survivors, provide wellness and cancer prevention education classes and help to open a wellness center this fall in Baltimore.
